A Taste of Celebrity for Cromwell Arms Head Chef, Ben Thebe.
This year's PSP Southampton Boat Show saw a new addition to the guest experience and introduced the 'Sea Kitchen Live'. The onsite kitchen was built and designed by Sunseeker and was opened for the 10 day event by celebrity chef Sean Rankin. Delicious Dining Group venue Cromwell Arms, was contacted directly by the organisers to provide quality chefs to cook live in front of an audience. Ben Thebe from the Romsey Gastro Pub was first to follow in the celebrity footsteps as he impressed both crowds and a selected top table of guests from the marine industry.
Ben's experience working at the Southampton Boat Show was a huge success as he advocated the values which the Cromwell Arms pride themselves on. Speaking confidently about local produce and understanding the background of the ingredients used, Ben created a restaurant favourite 'Monkish Wapped in Parma'. Audience member Peter Chennell congratulated the Cromwell Arms following the event, 'Your chef was an excellent ambassador for you'.
