Welcome to The Cromwell Arms

After almost a decade, Casa Bodega closed its doors for the last time on the evening of Sunday April 6th for refurbishment. The evening of Saturday 26th April saw the arrival of a new "gastro style pub" opening on the site.

The Cromwell Arms provides its customers with the opportunity to enjoy a traditional pub with a strong emphasis on quality freshly produced food and a unique wine list. Award wining sommelier and former Dockgate4 Bar & Grill general manager Mark Walter and his wife Helen are at Cromwell’s helm. "We want to be recognised for providing customers with a first class offering. Where ever possible, we are aiming to use the best locally sourced products and provide an excellent drinks offering including real ale and an interesting and unique good value wine list," commented, director, Mark.

Casa Bodega’s Chris "Harry" Harrison, also a director, continues to run and manage the Pavilion, a luxury marquee set in the grounds of The Cromwell Arms that hosts weddings, corporate and charity events. "After 9 years of successful trading we believe that Casa Bodega has reached a pinnacle. Gastro style pubs have gained in popularity as the UK market has developed a penchant for excellent quality food, served in a traditional pub atmosphere," said Chris.

Award wining head chef, Neil Gill is heading the kitchen team, and has prepared stylishly crafted and balanced lunch, dinner and a la carte menus that add a unique Cromwell Arms twist to traditional "Gastro Pub" favourites.
