"I have always had a great passion for food and drink, but it was whilst training under one of the UK's greatest sommeliers and Master of Wine, Gerard Basset, when I really developed my love of the grape. Wine is part of my life. I have won a number of national and European competitions and I regularly provide advice and commentary on all aspects of the world of wine, including writing a weekly newspaper column.
The wine list at the Cromwell Arms has been carefully sourced from the world's best-known and more interesting wines. After extensive tasting, we have a great selection for you to enjoy, some that are picked to match our style of food other that are just great to drink and savour. Our selection ranges from great classics to more unusual wines and we also feature specially selected wines of the week. Wine of the Week / Month
Working closely with my suppliers - These are carefully selected wines which I think are interesting styles / grape varieties and which represent good value for money, they are purchased often as end of line (Bins Ends) or while on promotion.
Mark's Choice - Using my wine knowledge these are good wines which I have been able to negotiate excellent prices on, thus enabling our clients to sample high quality wines an affordable price.
